This summer, the libraries are migrating from the Classic version of our QuickSearch discovery tool to the New (and hopefully improved) version. The new version was designed based on user input to provide a cleaner interface with clear indicators of material type and easier ways to cite and share articles with research colleagues.
From the Classic interface
to the New interface,
changes include a stable toolbar on the left column of the page with limiters available at the top, below the search box.
Instead of including additional resources like Link+ or the Wall Street Journal site license in the right column, these databases are included in the Supplemental sources in the left column toolbar
along with the concept map, which helps researchers craft more focused searches and understand the connections between terms and subjects.
Some changes are still in process, which is why the libraries are transitioning gradually throughout the summer months. Check out the new QuickSearch and explore its various features.
