Women in Engineering Day

International Women in Engineering Day is June 23!

Did you know Ada Lovelace, the "Princess of Parallelograms" and daughter of English poet, Lord Byron, could be considered the first computer programmer? June 23 is International Women in Engineering day, so let's take a moment to learn about some women in STEM!

In Gale Biography, you can create a "Person Search" (in the upper right toolbar for women with the occupation scientist.  You can also narrow the search be selecting specific types of science, like computer scientist or environmental scientist.  As a nod to Pride month, you can add LGBTQ+ to any person search.

Person searches can be limited by LGBTQ plus in addition to gender, ethnicity, nationality and occupation.
