With the end of the Fall term and the December holidays upon us, let's take a moment to explore how these holidays are represented in the Libraries' databases.
In Infobase's American History database, one will find articles with interesting facts about how holidays were celebrated in the past. Also, check out the photograph and video collections. Just type in a holiday name and browse the results.
Use the tags on the right-hand side of each record to find other, related materials.
In Credo Reference, one can find topic pages, which include concept maps of various (hyperlinked) terms that relate to the holiday as well as many encyclopedia and dictionary articles.
Along the right-hand side of all of Credo's Topc pages, one will find links out to articles and primary source material in other library databases, like ProQuest and JSTOR.
Another source for holiday information is in our online subject encyclopedias.
