Explore our Research Guides

This month we are highlighting our Research Guides, which you can find by clicking the button shown here on the main library website.

The main guides page is organized by subject. Click on the subjects to expand them.

Under “How to …” you’ll find several guides that can be useful regardless of what course you’re taking.

Click on a bulleted link to open a guide. Then you can browse the menu on the left side of each guide to see all of its sections. For example, here is the menu in the Cite Your Sources guide:

This guide has a variety of links and other resources to help you avoid plagiarism and correctly attribute the sources you use in your work. Organize Your Citations is a good place to start if you want to try out Zotero to manage your articles all in one place as you find them in our databases.

Most of the guides relate to a particular subject or discipline. It can be overwhelming when you’re starting a research paper and aren’t quite sure where to start. That’s why we have created Subject Research Guides.

We hope you find these lists of databases an inviting way to begin your search for scholarly articles.

The list above shows some of the specialized literary databases you can access through the library. Every subject guide has a similar list of appropriate resources for your subject.

Next time you are getting started on a research paper and you want to try a new approach, consider exploring our Research Guides first to see what resources your librarians recommend for your search.
